Boot Camp

I joined a Boot Camp last week hoping to help me get healthy, motivated and drop some more of that stupid weight! We meet at a park close by and our trainer has an obstacle course set up to test our endurance, strength and sense of humor. Last night I went to boot camp and after one hour could barely make it to my car. My body surprised me and was much stronger than I ever thought possible. I'll have to take some pictures...it's a funny site to see I'm sure!

Did those retarded people that are in the picture bother you or did they leave you alone?

Good for you! I'm too cheap to pay for a class and too lazy to motivate myself. Catch 22, isn't it?

I'm way too lazy for that. I will train vicariously through you.

Haha. I did a boot camp about 10 years ago. It was every night M-F, during the late fall (after the time change, which meant we were in the dark) for two hours. Weather was irrelevant. GET YOUR FACE IN THE MUD MAGGOT! Haha! We weren't actually addressed as maggots or verbally abused in any way, but we WERE physically abused in every way (we WERE doing push-ups and sit-ups in the mud). It was a cool experience. Hope you have fun! : )

nah... I already did Basic Training once. At least I got paid for it. This is you PAYING someone to yell at you. I can get that by just driving on the interstate and it's free. :)

That's amazing. I tend to shy away from all forms of "camp" and things that involve sweating in public. I admire you greatly.

I signed up for boot camp this summer. And then I withdrew. Turns out I don't like a) sweating b) bugs c) working hard d) people e) wet grass f) sweating g) breathing hard.

Good for you! I hope you last longer than I did. Well, as long as you go back you'll have beat me.

Have I mentioned that I used to live in Denver? My first thought upon looking at your picture was, "Is that Wash Park?" I miss Denver.

Good for you! I hear Boot Camp is hard.

Dr. Zibbs - how do you know that I'm not one of those retarded people? Hmmmm...

Gwen - Catch 22 is right. But it is fun!

Wendyb - Okay...we will train together via blog.

Stacie - Oh Stacie, you are so kind. Still working on believing that inside.

John - Your boot camp experience is so different. If there is mud I might have to pass on the push ups and site up.

Kitty - LOL...how did you know that happens to me in the car. No yelling is allowed at boot camp.

J - Too bad you aren't here, we could do boot camp together.

R - Im not sure about will power, but I am sure about fitting into a hot pair of jeans.

Lady - It's at the park so most of the people are sweating...I blend in I think.

Catherine - I get it...I so get it! And I have actually been twice so I guess that answers the big questions.

Miss X - I didn't know you lived in Denver. That picture isn't Wash Park, but that is where my camp is held! Love that park, love the weather right now. You should come back and at least visit Denver!

us2 - I do laugh out loud at myself all of the time! That's part of what makes it fun.

I broke a sweat just reading about this boot camp. Good for you. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go grab a beer and lie down.

I LOVE the boot camp class at my gym. Granted, it's just a class, not a full program. I do it once a week, every week, and it hasn't stopped being challenging in a YEAR. Instructor was really fun too. I hope it turns out to be a great experience.

regarding your comment on my blog...

hahaha, you are cute.

See, I'm all ghetto-like in that I have TWO baby daddys. Buggy is from my first marriage. ;)

However your comment is a loaded pistol as THERE HAS been a change (are you psychic more than confused???) but I haven't blogged about it...can't put anything down in writing just yet.
