And one of those too...

I just got off the phone with a delivery company and can't wait for the scheduled time. I made a purchase that needed to happen at least ten years ago, but I finally decided to just do it!

I first discovered this item several years ago...and have often fantasized about the experience. And then a month ago I was reminded how wonderful it really is...my new mattress! The MGM in Las Vegas has the best mattress, pillows and bedding in general. I always said that if I had the chance to find out the exact brand I would run out and purchase immediately. So while I was there last month I did just that! And after my frantic search and careful budgeting...two weeks ago I purchased my new mattress online and is being delivered on Monday. I even found the pillows and ordered a set to be delivered on the same day! I know, I know...it's a bit obsessive! But I have had the same mattress that I purchased for $50 more than 16 years ago!

I'm sure that my bouts of insomnia, sore back and restless nights are all going to be better because of my new mattress. At least it worked in Vegas...or maybe that was the high volume of alcohol. Oh well, I'm going to keep fingers crossed.

How long have you had your mattress?

We just got a new mattress this past summer and it CHANGED MY LIFE.

No- seriously, it did.

I didn't realize how bad ours was until we got a fancy new one, and now my back is waaayyyyy better (I used to wake up with a backache almost every day). Our old one was about 14 years old, which I am ashamed to admit- but since I'm on the internet, why not?

Heaven, thy name is Sealy.

Yay for mattresses!!! I want a Tempur-pedic so badly---as I LOVE my pillow, and I have had my bed about four years. Firm with a pillow top and a tempur-pedic topper. Its divine, but (sigh)---the grass is always greener on the other side....

Enjoy your new bed---how exciting---can't wait to hear a follow-up post!

in short? too long. I really want a memory foam mattress but have a slat platform bed so I'm not sure if those things jive. In the meantime I'll send the chiro's kids to college :)

If I'm hearing all of this right, the answers to your problems can be found in a bottle of Chianti. ;)

We have been talking about how badly we need to get a new mattress. Ours is almost 13 years old, and feels like it too!

Oh nice!!! I hope you like it just as much :) We bought our king size last year. The comfort is a bit better than the other bed, but the size is awesome over the queen!

I looked at the Tempur-pedic's forever but the more I researched the more I learned that they foam will retain body heat AND it takes a long time to "spring back" if you move around much in your sleep.

Soooo..I wound up getting a vulcanized rubber mattress instead. All the benefits and comfort of the Tempur-pedic and none of the downsides.

When I got divorced, I left him everything so I immediately went out and bought a brand NEW one for myself. LOVE IT!!!

The Original Mattress Factory. They rock!

Soo.. what kind DO you have now??

Oooh, a new mattress! I love to sleep and work very nard to have the "perfect" for me bed. My mattress topper cost more than my bed ($200 vs. free).

I bought a new mattress in November from Sleepy's. It was really soft and plush in the store but was not comfortable when I got it home. I had to pruchase a foam topper to go over my mattress and have been in heaven ever since.

We've had our mattress for about two years. If felt great in the store. Two years later and a feather topper added - I'm ready for another one.

I also wanted to jump on one of those beds that are in the commercial where you can place a glass of wine on the corner and it won't move when you're jumping. The salesman didn't want us to bring in our wine bottle. Spoil sport!

I've had the same mattress for about six years. I kind of want to get a new one as a form of, um, past-cleansing, if you know what I mean ... but it ain't in the budget for now.

Lucky girl!
