The first human contact I had this morning was a mom telling me to f!@# off because I sent an attendance letter home. Who has a job where that is the first thing you hear in the morning? Who would have guessed that a career in education would falls under that category? What shocks you about your job?

That after all these years of working there, I still can't understand a single word the cleaning guy says. I try...I try!
How parents can blame us for not finding a job for their child who is, meanwhile, still sleeping in till noon and the parents are taking messages for them.
I moved from Cali to South Georgia.... I can't understand a damn word these people are saying. Are they even speaking English? I mean seriously... I feel like a complete idiot on the phone with them, asking them to repeat their NAME 4 or 5 times because I can't tell if they are saying "Smith" or "Smay-yath". Where the HELL did all those extra syllables come from????
Mostly that I'm supposed to be comfortable occasionally having sex offenders and ex-con murderers in my classes.
Oh, and the Scottish janitor. Like Suze, I can't understand a freaking word he says.
